'Gulf of Meru officially joins record label Angular/Momentum with a debut album full ambient as his introduction. Gulf of Meru had previously released a number of singles and EPs. In this new album, he carries out the electronic and ambient genres, injecting a thick atmospheric nuance on the rarefactio.diminution, which is a new colour but still relevant when compared to his previous works.
Gulf of Meru tries more computer experiments on this concept album, producing songs with simple compositions but sounding very complex. rarefactio.diminution includes ten ambient tracks that represent the Gulf of Meru's understanding of the importance of remaining fully focused under pressure. Prior to its digital release, rarefactio.diminution was released in NFT form on the Tezos blockchain, in collaboration with an illustrator, daratan.
F.A. Poetra Tiarda's moniker is Gulf of Meru, and he has a lot of experience in the Indonesian music industry. Uta, as he is known, has long been a sound engineer and producer for many bands and musicians (eleventhwelfth, Zaman, and many more).'
