'First album collaboration between French Vocalist Guylaine Cosseron and Oz Double Bass/Electronics Mark Cauvin. Dismissed is a collection of works that capture improvised moments of anthropomorphism. Voice and instruments being the larynx and breath of creature.
Guylaine Cosseron is not bound by conventions, and as an adventurous experimental explorer, she subjects them to all her desires, all her impulses, exploring every accessible nook and cranny. Her instrument is not only her voice, but also encompasses breath, lips, tongue, palate, saliva, glottis, throat, chest, nose... a total singing, creating a variety of dizzying timbres, opening up an inexhaustible field of exploration.
Based in Australia. Mark Cauvin composes, improvises and performs music that incorporates the sounds of the double bass with analogue and digital electronics. His practice and technique is underpinned with his classical avantgarde double bass schooling originating from Australia, Italy and Germany.'
