DAVID BEHRMAN : Leapday Night

Sonic Arts UnionのメンバーでもありコンピュータミュージックのパイオニアDavid Behrmanの超名作！！
ほのぼのした感じがとっても良い実験音楽です。

「1987 年に Lovely Music から最初にリリースされました。3 つの小品/組曲からなるシリーズ、「Leapday Night」、「A Traveler's Dream Journal」、「Interspecies Smalltalk」には、Rhys Chatham/Ben Neill (トランペット/ミュータントランペット)、Fluxus の主要メンバー Takehisa Kosugi (バイオリン)、David Behrman 自身が電子楽器を担当しています。Behrman は、楽器奏者の音を吸収し、実際に聞き、その後、独自の合成反応で即興演奏を行う複雑なコンピュータ音楽システムを使用して、厚く層を成した流動的な音を作り出します。このシステムは、ピッチ センサー (演奏するミュージシャンの声を聞く「耳」)、さまざまな音楽シンセサイザー (一部は自作)、コンピュータ グラフィックス カラー ビデオ ディスプレイ、およびパーソナル コンピュータで構成されています。「ありがたいことに、DX-7 より少し前の、時代物のシンセサイザーが重厚に漂い、伴奏は最小限です。」」

A compilation of three pieces:
"Leapday Night" (1983-1986) features the mutantrumpet, which is a Neill invention with triple bells and mutable slides.
"A Traveller's Dream Journal" (1990) is a two-part soundscape created after Behrman worked in Walter Bachauer's
Kreuzberg studio.
"Interspecies Smalltalk" (1984) is an interactive piece originally commissioned by the Cunningham Dance Company.
